Welcome to
WOODHAVEN LAKES
Woodhaven Lakes is a private, gated recreational property owner resort located in the heart of North Central Illinois, just two hours west of Chicago.
Our 1,756 acres of woodlands, lakes and prairies provide a spectacular natural setting for relaxing with family and friends. Woodhaven offers seven lakes for fishing. There are 15 miles of natural trails for hiking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
Two pools and a beach provide a great way for families to relax and cool off during the hot summer months. Our year-round recreation staff provides structured recreation programs and services throughout the year.
Wildlife is abundant at Woodhaven and it’s very common to see deer frolicking through the prairies during all seasons.
We believe you have to experience Woodhaven to fully understand what we can offer to you and your family. Please take the time to browse through our website for more information or to look at a current list of our available properties. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a free tour of our property, please contact us!

What Our Guests Say About Us
We teased it earlier this week, so here it is! Albino TROUT Round-Up!
Calling all anglers! While the albino catfish competition has ended, the TROUT albino competition has begun. Pine, Hidden and Bluegill lakes have all been stocked with at least 12 albino trout in each lake. The rules are simple: 1. You must have a valid fishing license and trout stamp (age 16 and older). 2. Please take a picture of the person holding the fish with the lake in the background. 3. Please submit photo to jrodriguez@woodhavenassociation.com. If you catch the fish and submit a photo you will be entered in a drawing to win the grand prize. There will only be ONE winner! The tournament will be help for 3 days only. Saturday October 12th through Monday October 14th. Good luck and happy fishing!

What about plastic bags?
That's a great thing to do.
This is awesome!
Trout have been stocked! Trout season will officially open at 6 a.m. on Saturday (10/12/24). This means that Bluegill, Pine, and Hidden Lakes are all closed to fishing until then. Peep the little surprise in the net below...and keep a watch for a little somethin'-somethin' about it in the Leisure Times and maybe even Facebook later this week... ... See MoreSee Less
Do you need a fishing license?
Yes you need a fishing license and a inland trout stamp which I think is not right because it’s private property and our dues pay for the fish but it’s Illinois rules so just go with it
And please pay attention to Private Property signs. Not ever property bordering a lake is for public use.
Great place!

After the devastation that Hurricane Helene has brought to so many, a family friend of ours is making his way down to North Carolina to assist in the relief efforts. He is working with Sumaritan’s Purse. Once he and his Veteran buddies fill their vehicles and trailer they will head down to begin their mission. Kevin now dedicates his time to youth sports, which is why they have decided to focus their efforts on the kids. Their hope is to lift their spirits and bring them hope while rebuilding for their future.
For the next week, we are asking for any donations for Kevin and his friends to bring down with them. Items they are looking for include but not limited to; backpacks, sleeping bags, art supplies, diapers, wipes, tooth paste/tooth brushes, any sort of hygiene products, flash lights, stuffed animals (new only), books, water, non-perishable food/snacks, clothing, shoes. Anything gently used or new will be appreciated. **please no furniture/large items at this time**
Items can be brought to Better Bargains Amboy Tuesday-Friday 8a-11a, Wednesday 8a-2p, Saturday + Sunday 8a-12p. If you are not available during those times but want to donate items please reach out.
Thank you!
