Woodhaven Lakes is a private, gated recreational property owner resort located in the heart of North Central Illinois, just two hours west of Chicago.
Our 1,756 acres of woodlands, lakes and prairies provide a spectacular natural setting for relaxing with family and friends. Woodhaven offers seven lakes for fishing. There are 15 miles of natural trails for hiking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
Two pools and a beach provide a great way for families to relax and cool off during the hot summer months. Our year-round recreation staff provides structured recreation programs and services throughout the year.
Wildlife is abundant at Woodhaven and it’s very common to see deer frolicking through the prairies during all seasons.
We believe you have to experience Woodhaven to fully understand what we can offer to you and your family. -The handrail at the Lakeview Building is complete
-Routine prairie burning was conducted in areas of phase 2
-Beach renovations are coming along smoothly
-Progress continues on the Pool 1 mechanical room

Everything is looking great but im wondering where the wheelchair/ ada mat for the beach went and or how access to it will be w that wall there? It looks nice but it seems this might be difficult for seniors or persons w limited mobility to enjoy the beach but also have access to shade; unless theres breaks in the walls im not seeing bc of angle of pics...

The Public Safety training demonstration with a Lifeflight helicopter scheduled for today has been CANCELLED.
Public Safety training this month includes demonstration of a Lifeflight helicopter. The helicopter will be landing in the Rec Plex area at approximately 2 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, April 15 - the North parking lot (between the Rec Plex and Pavilion) will be closed during this training.

The Woodhaven Lake shoreline renovation is under way. Solitude is working hard on restoring the shoreline to prevent erosion from occurring. They are scheduled to be completed by the end of this week. The area that is being renovated spans from the boat rental to the corner by the Family Center playground.
