Woodhaven Lakes is a private, gated recreational property owner resort located in the heart of North Central Illinois, just two hours west of Chicago.
Two pools and a beach provide a great way for families to relax and cool off during the hot summer months. Our year-round recreation staff provides structured recreation programs and services throughout the year.
Wildlife is abundant at Woodhaven and it’s very common to see deer frolicking through the prairies during all seasons.

The day we moved our camper in no one had suggested we put down a gravel pad before pulling the camper in. Needless to say it was May and with all the rain, the ground was soft. The campers wheels sunk deep into the mud and it was only a matter of minutes, an army of my neighbors came to rescue us and push it out. Above Ground came over in no time and was able to put a pad in for us. That day I learned we had great neighbors and a contractor I could depend on, even in a pinch.

Woodhaven Association Budget Hearing
11/08/2025 - 1 p.m. at the Rec Plex
All interested Owners are encouraged to attend the Budget Hearing in person to ask questions and/or participate in the Budget Process.
Owners who cannot attend in person, but would be like to participate in the Budget Hearing can contact the Association Office to register and request a Zoom invitation (or request access through this link before 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 7th:

Woodhaven will be recording the Budget Hearing and a copy will be available for Membership review in the days following the hearing.
Board Meetings scheduled for November 11th and December 9th at the Northern Illinois Campus in Naperville will provide additional opportunities for input from Owners on the budget process. Members are also encouraged to use the Speak-Up Sheet Program to correspond with any comments, concerns, or suggestions about the Association’s Budget.

A note about leaf/brush pick up –
Over the past week we had 53 lots sign up to have "brush" picked up from their lot. Of those 53 lots, only 15 were actual brush and the other 38 were loose leaves for leaf vacuum season which starts Monday. Please be aware that we take out different equipment for brush pick up than for leaf pick up, and inaccuracies in sign ups can lead to delays in pick ups. We ask to please be sure you are signing up for the correct pick up service so we are using time and resources as effectively as possible. We appreciate your assistance and patience with landscape waste procedures!
In 2022 and 2023 I spent hours cleaning leaves from my lot and they were at the street. I signed up both years and there was absolutely no pick up by the association on on our court. Since then I just move the leaves to where they’ll blow towards the big lake.

I like the swipe in and out requirement, but it only gives you a list of possible suspects. Without knowing the exact time of the vandalism, how would PS be able to identify who the guilty party is? Maybe I’m missing something obvious.
I think it's time to install some cameras. Too many problems.

Right after a weekend when people bring guests. Time to install cameras on the outside and install access control where a pass is required for entry. This will narrow down to time and which pass was used in that time frame. I think it's time to seriously considering increasing fines for damages to WH property, and limiting access to those owners whose family or guests damage property
Start charging guests , this would eliminate some of the free for all BS and in turn any damages can be paid for with the guest charges.
