What do you want to do today?

At Woodhaven Lakes that's a tough question, because there are so many different activities and events, it's difficult to decide what to do. That's because the full-time, year round professional recreation staff always has something going on, no matter the day or time of year.

Naturally, summertime is filled with the majority of planned activities and events. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day the Recreation Department offers special theme weekends with activities for the entire family. Enjoy the weekly live entertainment and bands. There are several arts & crafts fairs and flea markets with hundreds of different exhibitors. Daily arts & crafts programs are offered for children and bi-weekly crafts are available for adults. Sand volleyball, basketball, horseshoes and shuffleboard are among the sporting tournaments held during the summer at Woodhaven.

Summer is also the time to enjoy the three aquatics facilities. The two outdoor swimming pools have a diving board, a drop slide, wading pools, and bathhouses. Programs offered include swimming lessons, family nights, adults swim, aquacise, water activities for kids, and teen swims. The beach swimming area offers a swimming dock and a wide variety of watercraft rentals including paddleboats, canoes, and rowboats.

Woodhaven also welcomes the changing of the seasons with annual festivals and events such as Spring Fling Festival, Egg-Celebration, Fall Festival, holiday events, and Cabin Fever Festival. Winter provides an excellent opportunity for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice skating, sledding, and ice fishing.

Despite all the planned programs, there are still many recreational opportunities to enjoy on your own. Fish on any of our seven lakes, hike on 15 miles of wooded trails, play basketball, tennis, roller hockey, shuffleboard, pickleball badminton, sand volleyball, and horseshoes. Let your children play at one of our seven playgrounds and you can just sit back, and relax.

Each day at Woodhaven provides such a wealth of leisure choices, the question isn't "What is there to do?", but rather "How do I decide what to do first?"

Every day is a day to play... at Woodhaven.
