Dear Prospective Team Member:

Thank you for your interest in the Department of Recreation at Woodhaven Lakes. Woodhaven offers a unique environment to further develop your skills and abilities to work with people of all ages and walks of life.

If you enjoy working with people, putting your creativity to the test, having freedom in programming, putting smiles on faces, like to work outdoors and have the desire to pursue excellence—then Woodhaven could be the place for you. If you do not have any of these skills or have the desire to learn them, then the recreation field isn't for you.

Over the years, Woodhaven has employed students from University of Illinois, Virginia Wesleyan College, Eastern Illinois University, Illinois State University, South Africa, Canada, Lake Superior State University, Western Illinois University, and Indiana State University who have completed education requirements. Many members of our department have been recreation or education majors seeking the opportunity to develop skills they can use in the future. We cannot offer mountains, oceans, or white water rapids. But we can offer the opportunity for you to pursue and develop creative programs from your own ideas. At Woodhaven we encourage your professional and personal growth and development.
