Woodhaven's Standing Committees

Three standing committees of the Association have been established by Woodhaven's bylaws to assist the Board of Directors. The three standing committees include Facilities Planning, Communications, and Finance.

Each standing committee of the Association will consist of five or more Association members appointed by the Committee Chairman and approved by a majority of the Board.


Communications Committee

The Communications Committee's mission is to keep the Board of Directors informed about the interests of the Association members; and make policy and procedural recommendations which pertain to communications between the Board and membership.

The principle areas of interest are membership publications, the Speak-up Sheet program, reports from section meetings and other means of direct communication with members.

Facilities Planning Committee

The mission of the Facilities Planning Committee is to keep the Board informed about the status of replacement and additions projects; and to make policy and procedural recommendations which pertain to the development and preservation of the physical facilities of the Association and its natural resources.

The principal areas of interest are buildings, grounds, roads, lakes, trees, recreation facilities and common areas.

Finance Committee

The mission of the Finance Committee is to keep the Board of Directors informed of the financial condition of the Woodhaven Association and its subsidiaries; and make policy and procedural recommendations which pertain to financial matters.

Its principal areas of interest are financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, collections, insurance, investments, and sources of funds.

Woodhaven's Additional Committees

In addition to the three standing committees, additional committees have been established to assist the Board, providing more equitable distribution of responsibilities and to obtain volunteer services of other Association members. Additional committees include the Audit Committee, Boards of Review, Environmental Committee and Section Representative Committee.


Audit Committee

The Audit Committee keeps the Board informed about the annual audit of the Association and its subsidiaries and other matters related to the annual audit. The Committee also makes policy and procedural recommendations which pertain to financial affairs.

Its principal areas of interest are the annual audit, accounting procedures, restricted reserves, and taxation.

ESAC Board of Review

The ESC Board of Review receives its authority from Woodhaven's Rules and Regulations. It's purpose is to conduct hearings for any person who wishes to contest the issuance of a citation under Article X, Rules and Regulations.

Public Safety Board of Review

The ESC Board of Review receives its authority from Woodhaven's Rules and Regulations. It's purpose is to conduct hearings for any person who wishes to contest the issuance of a citation under Article X, Rules and Regulations.

Environmental Committee

The Environmental Committee receives its powers from Woodhaven's Covenants and Restrictions, Article VI Section A. The purpose of this Committee is to consider all campsite improvement requests to insure compliance with Woodhaven's Rules and Regulations and Convenants and Restrictions.

The Committee is composed of three members appointed by the Board of Directors. At least one member is to be a member of one of the physical design professions.

Section Representative Committee

The Section Representative Committee disseminates information to the members of the Association provided by the Board and makes recommendations to the Board which represents the viewpoints of the members.

Its principal areas of interest are the services provided by the Association, its natural resources and facilities.

Ad Hoc Committees

The President of the Board of Directors, with the consent of a Board majority, is empowered to establish special or ad hoc committees as needed.

There are currently no ad hoc committees serving at Woodhaven.
