I began my employment with the Association in June1990 when I was hired as Woodhaven's Finance Director. In this position my responsibilities were to supervise all aspects of the Association's financial operations, including direct and indirect work with the payable, receivable and general ledger functions. I was and continue to be directly involved with coordination of the audit process and have been instrumental in the enhancement and continuing development of the Association's budget process. Prior to becoming General Manager, my supervision responsibilities were extended to the subsidiary operations of the Association, Woody Inc. and at that time Association Realty, Inc. In May of 1993, Association Realty, Inc. merged with and became Woodhaven Lakes Realty, Inc.

In June 1993, the Board of Directors changed the Association's organizational concept to a co-management structure and established responsibilities for the positions of Executive Director and General Manager. Karen Roche accepted a promotion as Executive Director and I became the Association's General Manager. In addition to the duties associated with the Finance Director position, my current responsibilities include supervision of the marketing, maintenance and resource functions of the Association.

I graduated from Augustana College in 1990 with bachelors' degrees in accounting and business administration. I passed my Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam in May of 1992 and am a member of the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). I am also a member of the Community Association Institute (CAI), Illinois Association of Lake Communities (IALC) and Community Managers International Association (CMIA). In 2002, I received the designation of Master Community Manger (MCM) from CMIA.

I currently live in Peru with my wife, son and daughter. We enjoy outdoor activities and are actively involved with church and local school functions.
